3 Natore factories fined for molasses adulteration

A mobile court has fined three factories Tk 9 lakh in Natore’s Gurudaspur upazila for producing adulterated molasses.

Local Upazila Nirbahi Officer (UNO) Mizanur Rahman and Rapid Action Battalion (Rab) seized 1,980kg of molasses from those factories last night.

Ingredients used to adulterate molasses were also seized from the factories.

The factories, located at Chancoir Bazar, were fined Tk 3 lakh each for adulteration, UNO Mizanur Rahman told our local correspondent.

All the adulterated molasses was destroyed.
