3 mobile courts levy fines for quarantine violation and price hikes in Ctg

Three mobile courts fined an expatriate for violating home quarantine conditions and some shops for increasing prices of essentials during separate drives in Chattogram today.

Mamnoon Ahmed Anik, executive magistrate of Chattogram district administration, conducted a drive in Bahaddar Hat area of the port city and fined an expatriate Tk 10,000 for violating home quarantine, our local correspondent reports quoting the magistrate.

He also fined a pharmacy at Andarkilla Tk 50,000 for hiking the price of hand sanitisers.

Shirin Akther, another executive magistrate of the district administration fined four vegetable vendors Tk 4,000 for increasing prices at Chawk Bazar.

Another mobile court, led by executive magistrate Fahmida Afroz, fined a dozen vendors at Double Mooring, Bandar and EPZ areas Tk 25,000 on the same grounds, Shirin Akhter told the correspondent.
