3 die from electrocution in Narayanganj

Three people including a child died from electrocution in Siddhirganj of Narayanganj this morning.

Identities of the deceased could not be known immediately but they are a 25-year-old woman, a 10-year-old girl and a three-year-old child, said Abu Hanif, sub-inspector of Siddhirganj Police Station.

Quoting witnesses, Kamrul Faruk, officer-in-charge of Siddhirganj Police Station, said an electricity supply cable damaged by lightning during storm fell on a tin-shed house in Rasulbagh this morning.

The trio came in contact with the electric cable while coming out of the house and died on the spot, said the OC. 

On information, a police team rushed to the spot, our Narayanganj correspondent reports quoting the OC.
