28 bottles of foreign liquor found in Padma

Police today recovered 28 bottles of foreign liquor from a drum floating in the Padma River in Sujanagar upazila of Pabna.

A group of fishermen first spotted a drum floating in the river while they were fishing in the river near Nazirganj ferry ghat point and informed the law enforcers this afternoon, our Pabna correspondent reports quoting police.

On information, police went to the spot and recovered the bottles of foreign liquor, said Badruddoza, officer-in-charge of Sujanagar Police Station.

Somebody dropped drum with the bottles here and the matter will be investigated, the OC said without giving any further detail.
