2 killed in road accident in Dhaka

A motorcyclist and a community policeman were killed in a road accident when a passenger bus hit the motorcycle in the capital's Hanif Flyover today.

The deceased were identified as Akhter Hossain (36), son of Abdul Rauf Miah, and community police personnel Mofizul Islam (40), reports our staff correspondent quoting ASI Abdul Khan, assistant in-charge of Dhaka Medical College police outpost.

The accident took place around 4:30pm when a bus hit the motorcycle at Hanif Flyover adjacent to the Joykali temple, said community policeman Mozzammel Hossain.

Later, pedestrians took the two to Dhaka Medical College Hospital where doctors declared them dead, he said.
