2 children dead in road accidents in Brahmanbaria

Two children were killed today in two separate road accidents in Nabinagar upazila of Brahmanbaria.

The deceased were Yamin (8), son of Waliullah Mia of Dharabhanga village in Barikandi union, and Abid (9), son of Shah Alam Mia of Brahmanhata village in Kaitla North union, of the upazila.

One of the accidents occurred at Dharabhanga around 10am today as an autorickshaw hit Yamin. He was taken to Salimganj Oliur Rahman Hospital where the on-duty doctor declared him dead.

The second accident happened at Brahmanhata around 11:30am when Abid was hit by a tractor on a road adjacent to his house. He died on the spot.

Maqbool Hossain, Additional superintendent of Police of Nabinagar Circle, and Nazim Uddin Sikder, sub-inspector and in-charge of Salimganj Police Outpost, confirmed the incidents, reports our Brahmanbaria correspondent.
