2 children allegedly raped in Jashore, Manikganj

Two minor girls have allegedly been raped in Jashore and Manikganj districts.

Cases have been filed in connection with both incidents.

In Jashore, a seven-year-old girl was allegedly raped by a 65-year-old man at Chanchra Raipara village in the Sadar upazila, our Benapole correspondent reports quoting police.

Abdus Sattar, took the girl to the rooftop of his own building and raped her last night, Shahjahan Ahmed, in-charge of Jashore Chanchra police outpost said quoting the victim's mother, the complainant in the case.

Sattar was the landlord of the building where the victim's family had rented a house.

The child has been sent for a forensic test, the police official said. Sattar, meanwhile, has gone into hiding.

In Manikganj, one Nazmul Hossain Ishakue, 42, allegedly raped a six-year-old girl at Charkhalia village under Singair upazila this noon, our local correspondent said quoting Abdus Sattar, officer-in-charge of Singair Police Station.

The victim was playing with some other children near her house this noon when the accused took her to a secluded area and raped her, the police official said according to the complaint.

The victim's grandmother filed the complaint with the police station, OC Sattar said adding that they will take legal action after investigation.
