15 students of PSTU suspended for ‘ragging’

The authorities of Patuakhali Science and Technology University (PSTU) suspended 15 students for their alleged involvement in ragging yesterday.

A university notice said the suspension would be valid till the current semester.

On the night of January 13, the 15 reportedly ragged residential students of Sher-e-Bangla-1 dormitory, the notice signed by Additional Registrar Swadesh Chandra Samanta said.

Following the incident, the 37th meeting of the students’ disciplinary Board held the next day decided to suspend the students.
