120 kg sting fish fry seized on border

Border Guard Bangladesh (BGB) seized 120 kilogram of sting fish fry while those were being trafficked to India through Hili border in Hakimpur upazila of the district early Monday.

However, none was arrested in this connection, said Nayeb Subedar Mahmud Alam, camp commander of Mongla BOP.

A gang of smugglers gathered the sting fish fry at Ghashuria border in the upazila on Monday early hours.

Being informed, a BGB team raided there and seized the fish fry.

There is high demand for sting fish fry in India, said the BGB official.
