I'm not fully happy with verdict: Nazrul’s father-in-law

Shahid Chairman, the father-in-law of Narayanganj City Corporation panel mayor Nazrul Islam, said he was not completely happy with the judgment of the seven-murder case.

“I am not fully happy with judgment because names of five accused in FIR were dropped from charge sheet. Godfather Shamim Osman did this to save his party men."

However, Nazrul’s wife Selina Islam said she was satisfied with the verdict and the higher court would uphold the verdict.

"I am happy with the verdict but I will not show 'V' sign until the execution of the verdict," Selina said.

Abdul Wahab, father of another victim Ibrahim, the driver of slain lawyer Chandan Sarker, said he was happy with the verdict.

Ibrahim’s wife Hanufa Begum, said "I am happy with the verdict. I want the fugitives to be arrested soon.”

Seven people, including Nazrul and senior lawyer Chandan Sarker, were abducted from the Dhaka-Narayanganj link road on April 27, 2014. Later, their bodies were found floating in the Shitalakkhya.
