Mymensingh freedom day tomorrow

The freedom fighters of Mymensingh freed the district from the Pakistan Army on December 10 in 1971.

After the crackdown on March 25 in 1971, the Pakistani occupation forces made several futile attempts to enter Mymensingh town and finally managed to set foot there on April 22.

The freedom fighters and the Pakistan army faced a number of encounters at different places of the district between May and November.

On December 10, the freedom fighters and the Indian allied force entered Mymensingh town and freed it from the occupation of Pakistan army.

Some 125 freedom fighters sacrificed their lives in the battle.
