Myanmar nationals among 12 held with 15 lakh Yaba tablets at Ctg port

Rapid Action Battalion has detained 12 people including five Myanmar citizens along with around 15 lakh Yaba tablets from a fishing trawler at the outer anchorage of Chittagong port.

Tipped off, a Rab-7 team seized the Yaba tablets from the fishing trawler named ‘Mayer Doa’ at the outer anchorage of the port yesterday evening, its Commanding Officer Miftah Uddin Ahmed told The Daily Star.

The law enforcers also detained 12 people on board the trawler, including five Myanmar nationals, the Rab official also said.

Rab will hold a press briefing in this regard later in the day, he added.
