Murder accused runs from custody in Savar

A murder case accused managed to run from police custody during transfer between district jails.

Samim, 34, was being taken to Narayanganj jail from Natore on a bus of Hanif Paribahan around 7:00pm last night, a Savar correspondent reports quoting police.

The bus stopped at Aminbazar due to traffic when the accused made a dash, said Mahbubur Rahman, assistant superintendent of police (Savar circle).

Four policemen were present at the scene. “We are investigating the incident and conducting several drives to nab the accused,” the SP said.
