MP Amanur’s bail rejected

A Tangail court today rejected Awami League (AL) lawmaker Amanur Rahman Khan Rana bail in a murder case filed for killing freedom fighter Faruk Ahmed.

Justice Abul Mansur Mia of the first additional district and session judges’ court passed the order today, our Tangail correspondent reports quoting Anwarul Islam, a court inspector.

Lawmaker Amanur Rahman Khan Rana’s lawyers submitted the bail petition yesterday citing reasons that the parliament was asking Rana to join its sessions.

The ruling party leader and lawmaker from Tangail-3 constituency is currently in jail after he surrendered before the same court on September 18.
