Mother, son found dead at Sylhet house

A woman and her son are found dead at a house in Sylhet city’s Kharpara area this morning.

The deceased were identified as Rokeya Begum, 40, and her son Rabiul Islam Rupam, 16, residents of Kharpara area of the city.

Police recovered the bodies after locals informed them around 12noon, our local correspondent reports quoting Gausul Hossain, officer-in-charge of Kotwali Police Station.

The law enforcers rescued a five-year-old girl, Raisa, when they entered the house around 12noon.

“The reason behind killing Rokeya and her son are yet to be known,” OC Gausul said.

 “We can say further about this after investigation,” he added.
