Missing boy found dead

The body of a boy, who was missing since Friday night, was found in a pond of the upazila livestock office in Madhukhali municipality of the district yesterday.

The deceased was Joni Sheikh, 18, son of Md Jalil Sheikh of Bonomalidia area. He used to sell boiled eggs in front of his house.

Family members of the victim said Joni went missing on Friday night and locals found his body in the pond yesterday.

 “Primarily, we think that he was strangled to death and his body was dumped in the pond. We sent the body to Faridpur Medical College Hospital morgue for autopsy,” Office-in-Charge of Madhukhali Police Station Mizanur Rhaman said.
