The militants, who still dare to continue carrying out anarchy across the country, will face the same consequence as their fellows, said Home Minister Asaduzzaman Khan Kamal today.

Inspired by the prime minister’s call, some had surrendered and some of them were killed in police encounter, the minister said while addressing a programme at Dhaka Polytechnic Institute in the capital.

“People of Bangladesh don’t tolerate militancy and even in Islam there is no room for militancy,” he added.

A very few militants who are yet to be arrested or did not surrender will have to face bitter consequences, he warned.

Lawmen conducted a successful operation in Rupnagar

The minister further said, “Last night, our law enforcement agencies had carried out a successful operation in Rupgangar where the military commander of “Neo JMB” who gave arms training to the Holey Artisan and Sholakia attackers was killed.”

Police had asked Murad alias Jahangir Alam to surrender but he did not respond, he added.

So, law enforcers did not have any other option other than kill him as he attacked and injured three policemen, he added.

Order of Mir Quasem Ali’s execution must be implemented

Regarding condemned war criminal Mir Quasem Ali’s execution, he said, “The apex court released the full verdict. So the order must be implemented.”
