Man stabbed to death

A man was killed over a trifle matter at Dergram village in Sadar upazila of the district on Monday.  The deceased was identified as Afzal Hossain, 35, son of Shafi Uddin of the village. Locals caught the alleged killer, Amzad Hossain Bepari, 25, son of Ansar Bepari of the area, from the spot and handed him over to police. Family sources said Amzad borrowed Tk 300 from Afzal's son Babu. When Afzal asked Amzad to pay the money at 4:45pm, they engaged in an altercation. At one stage, Amzad stabbed Afzal indiscriminately, leaving him dead on the spot.
