Man killed, gold looted by robbers in Lakshmipur

A gang of robbers killed a man and took gold jewellery and money from his residence in West Lakshmipur village in Lakshmipur early today.

The deceased was identified as Atikullah, 55, AKM Azizur Rahman, officer-in-charge of Lakshmipur Sadar Police Station, said.

Around five to six robbers broke into his residence around 3:00am and beat him dead after tying up all the family members, police sources said.

The robbers took gold jewellery and money worth around Tk three lakh from the house.
