Man held with 10 gold bars in Chandpur

Railway police arrested a man along with 10 gold bars from Chandpur Railway Boro Station in the district town on Saturday night.

The arrestee was identified as Mridul Dhar, 40, hailing from Patiya upazila in Chittagong district.

Assistant sub-inspector Abul Kalam of Government Railway Police challenged Mridul for his suspicious movement in front of ticket counter of the station and recovered 10 gold bars from his possession.

Mridul had just reached the station by ‘Meghna Express’ train from Chittagong around 11:00pm, said the ASI.
