Man found dead

Police recovered the body of a man from a pond at Fatepur village in Manda upazila of Naogaon district yesterday. The deceased was identified as Momtajuddin, 35, son of Ainal Haque of Mohammadpur village in the upazila. He was a guard of a pond in Fatepur area. Mozaffor Hossain, officer-in-charge of Manda Police Station, said locals found the body floating on the pond and informed the police. The law enforcers rushed to the spot, recovered the body and sent it to Sadar hospital morgue for autopsy. The victim went out of home on February 2 and since then he remained missing, said the OC.
