Man found dead

The body of an unidentified man was found hanging from a tree in Chanderhat area in Mollahat upazila of the district yesterday.

The identity of the deceased, aged about 40 years, could not be ascertained as of filing of this report around 5:00pm, Officer-in-Charge (OC) ANM Khairul Anam of Mollahat Police Station. 

Being informed by the villagers, police recovered the body hanging around 10:30am.

Police primarily suspect that criminals might have killed the man somewhere else on Tuesday night and later hung the body there, the OC said, adding that they recovered the body and sent it to Bagerhat Sadar Hospital morgue for autopsy.
