Man arrested for posting insulting words about PM

A union parishad member was arrested in Kishoreganj upazila on Friday on charge of posting insulting words about Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina on his Facebook page the previous day.

The accused is Khalilur Rahman Dablu, 45, a member of Bahagli Union Parishad.

Upazila Swechchhasebak League Vice-President Asaduzzaman filed a complaint with Kishoreganj Police Station against Dablu in this regard.

Dablu was arrested on Friday night.

Officer-in-Charge Bazlur Rashid said the complaint will be recorded under the Information and Communication Technology (ICT) Act.
