Mamata greets Bangladesh ahead of LBA document exchange

Hours before the exchange of documents on ratification of Land Boundary Agreement (LBA), West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee has greeted the people of Bangladesh and India.

"On the historic occasion of signing of Land Boundary Agreement, my best wishes to the people of India & Bangladesh," she tweeted.

Earlier on Friday, West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee reached Dhaka to attend some official programmes with the Indian Prime Minister, Narendra Modi who reached Dhaka today.

State Minister for Foreign Affairs Md Shahriar Alam welcomed her at Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport after she landed around 8:28pm.

She would also be present during exchange of Instrument of Ratification of the historic Land Boundary Agreement.

On her arrival at the Dhaka airport, Mamata told media, “Let's we all pray that relations between the two countries is further strengthened and long lasting.

"In future, the two countries will work together for the betterment of people of both countries."
