Lightning kills two farmers

Two farmers were killed by lightning in Bhandaria upazila of the district on Tuesday.

The deceased were Jahangir Hossain, 45, son of Moinuddin Khan, and Nasir Uddin Howlader, 35, son of Abdus Sattar Hawlader of Atarkhali village in the upazila.

Md Humayun Kabir, chairman of Ikri Union Parishad, said a thunderbolt struck the farmers when they were working at a paddy field in the village. They died on the spot.
