Land freed from grabber

Sadullapur upazila administration in a drive on Monday freed a land allocated for construction of Muktijoddha complex from illegal grabbers. A mobile team, led by Upazila Nirbahi Officer Muhammed Ahsan Habib, demolished illegal structures on the land at around 2:00pm. The government allocated eight decimals of land for the construction of Sadullapur Muktijoddha Complex, but it was illegally occupied by one Abu Mia, said Meseruddin Sarker, commander of Sadullapur Muktijoddha Sangsad. Despite repeated requests, Abu did not remove the illegal structures from the land, he said. The upazila administration bulldozed the illegal structures on the land, said the UNO.
