Sylhet college girl Khadiza Akter Nargis, who was brutally hacked by suspended BCL leader Badrul Islam on October 3 last year, returned home today.

Khadiza reached her home in Hausha area of Sylhet Sadar upazila this afternoon, after receiving treatment at Square Hospital for months and Centre for the Rehabilitation of the Paralysed (CRP) for around four months.

She reached Sylhet city with her brother Shahin Ahmed by air from Dhaka around 2:17pm and then arrived at her home around 3:30pm.

Hearing the news of her return, the villagers thronged her house to see her, reports our Sylhet correspondent.

Her brother Shahin Ahmed said Khadiza’s physical condition is better now and the doctors at CRP allowed her to visit home for the betterment of her mental condition.

The 23-year-old Khadiza is still undergoing treatment at CRP, he added.
