Jubo League leader beaten by BNP men

A local Jubo League leader was beaten allegedly by some BNP men at Durgapur village in Aditmari upazila. 

A case was filed in this connection, said OC Hareshwar Roy of Aditmari Police Station.

The victim is Afzal Hossain Nannu, 43, publicity secretary of Durgapur union unit of Jubo League.

According to the case, some BNP men led jointly by Shafiqul Islam Bablu and Mostafizur Rahman Tota swooped on the house of the Jubo League leader on Friday and the day before. They beat up Nannu and vandalised the house and looted Tk 3 lakh.

“Local BNP men have been conspiring against me since I joined Awami League from BNP two years ago,” said Nannu.
