Journos block road demanding 9th wage board

Journalists today blocked a road in front of Jatiya Press Club in Dhaka for two hours demanding immediate announcement of the ninth wage board.

They staged a sit-in before the press club since 11:30am, suspending vehicular movement on the road, our photojournalist said. 

The journalists took to the street as part of their countrywide demonstration organised by Dhaka Union of Journalists (DUJ) demanding the ninth wage board.

Bangladesh Federal Union of Journalists (BFUJ) yesterday urged all journalists' unions and media related organisations across the country to make the programme a success.
