JnU online admission begins today

The online admission process for the first year honours courses for 2016-17 academic sessions of Jagannath University (JnU) begins today and will continue till September 10.

Against a total of 2,765 seats, admission seekers are asked to visit the university website – www.admission.jnu.ac.bd -- to apply for the entry tests till September 10 midnight, according to a JnU release.

The admission test fee for a single unit, except E unit, is fixed at Tk 404 including bank service charge and online admission fee. E unit application fee will cost Tk 505 including practical test and bank service charge.

The fee can be paid through bKash, SureCash or DBBL mobile banking system.

Combining SSC and HSC with the additional subject, this year, students are required to have a minimum GPA 8.0 to apply for A and C unit, 7.5 for B and D units, and 6.5 for E unit.

According to the schedule, the admission tests of “B” unit (arts and law faculties) will be held on September 23, “E” unit (drama, music and fine arts faculties) on September 24, “C” unit (business studies faculty) on September 30, “A” unit (science, life and earth science faculties) on October 21 and “D” unit (social science faculty) on October 28.
