JnU new campus in Keraniganj: Nahid

Government will expand Jagannath University (JnU) at a new campus on a 25-bigha land in Keraniganj, Education Minister Nurul Islam Nahid said today.

There will be academic buildings, students’ residential halls, teachers’ quarters and other necessary establishments with modern amenities, Nahid said at a press briefing at his ministry office.

“We will acquire more land if needed. Our government will do whatever is necessary to establish a modern university there,” Nahid told a questioner.

The decision was taken during a scheduled cabinet meeting held with Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina in the chair today, Nahid added.
