A schoolgirl in Jashore's Chowgachha upazila goes to her school and roams around her village on a goat-driven cart regularly, drawing much attraction among the locals.

Samia Khatun is a second grader at Narayanpur Government Primary School in the upazila, reports our Benapole correspondent.

This unique transport is the idea of her father Shamiul, an assistant teacher of the same school.

"Shamiul is an eccentric, but creative and talented teacher. He always strives for coming up with something new," said Belayet Hosen, primary education officer of the upazila.

"This goat-driven cart is one of his unique ideas," he added.

"Rearing goats is a hobby for me," Shamiul said.

"For a long time, I have been rearing a goat at a time. When the goat grows up, my child goes to school by a cart driven by the goat," he added.

Shamiul also said that he trains his goats to understand certain signals and directions.

Hundreds of people are visiting Shamiul's residence to see the goat-driven cart.
