A section of teachers of Jahangirnagar University today brought out a silent procession against the allegations of corruption and irregularities brought against the vice-chancellor and her family members.

Under the banner of Bangabandhu Shikkhok Parishad, the teachers brought out the procession from the university's Social Science Faculty premises around 11:30am, which ended in front of the administrative building followed by a rally, reports our JU correspondent.

“The allegation brought against the JU VC and his family members are nothing but a false and fabricated one in a bid to halt the implementation of mega development plan of the university,” claimed Prof Ajit Kumar, who is also president of JU Teachers Association, said while addressing the rally.
