India relaxes visa rules for Bangladeshi women

India has temporarily relaxed the visa rules for Bangladeshi women giving them the opportunity to skip prior appointment or e-token procedures.

- Women can apply for tourist visa for family

- Must show confirmed air tickets

- Tourist visa application in Gulshan-1 office

The opportunity, only for those with confirmed air tickets, is available from October 3 – 13 on a trial basis, an Indian High Commission press release said today.

Also, women applicants can drop the visa application on behalf of their family members – but that too with the condition of being able to produce confirmed air tickets.

The date of journey should be in the month of October but after 7 days of submission of the visa application form at the Indian Visa Application Center.

This visa scheme will only be available at the Gulshan-1 office of the Indian High Commission.
