Hotlines for US-Bangla plane crash

GP offers free outgoing calls to Nepal

Bangladesh mission in Kathmandu has opened two hotline numbers to provide information about the passengers of the US-Bangla aircraft that crashed at Tribhuvan International Airport in Kathmandu today.

State Minister for Foreign Affairs Md Shahriar Alam shared the hot line numbers in his Facebook page this afternoon.

The hotline numbers are:

Md Al Alamul Emam, Consular, +9779810100401 

Asit Baran Sarker, +9779861467422.

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs in Dhaka has also opened hotline numbers with officials designated to provide information about the plane crash.

GP offers free outgoing calls to Nepal

Meanwhile, mobile operator Grameenphone has announced that all Nepal-bound mobile phone calls free of cost for next two days following the aircraft crash.

Md Hasan, a deputy general manager of the market’s leading mobile operator, told The Daily Star this evening that their offer will continue till March 15 midnight.

At least 49 passengers were dead as an aircraft of US-Bangla Airlines with 71 people on board crashed at Tribhuvan International Airport (TIA) in Kathmandu of Nepal this afternoon.
