Hotline for Bangladeshis in South Africa

Bangladesh High Commission in Pretoria opened hotline numbers for the citizens of the country for any support following the xenophobic attacks on the expatriates by South Africans.

In a statement today, the high commission urged the expatriates to stay alert and keep their shops and business outlets closed until the situation returns to normalcy.

The high commission is prepared to provide all possible support to the Bangladeshi nationals who have the victims of the attacks.

Bangladesh High Commission, along with other diplomatic missions,has urged the South African foreign ministry and law enforcement agencies to take necessary measures to ensure security to its citizensand stop the violence.
