Hizb ut-Tahrir member held

Detective Branch (DB) of police arrested an alleged member of the banned Islamist outfit Hizb ut-Tahrir Bangladesh in Jail Road area of Jessore town on Wednesday. The arrestee is Tanjila Tamanna Asha, 22, wife of Ibrahim Khalil of Durgapur village in Sadar upazila. Officer-in-Charge of Jessore DB police Maniruzzaman said on secret information, the law enforcers conducted a drive in the area and arrested Tanjila at night. Tanjila is a sister of Hizb ut-Tahrir regional commander Tanjib Ahmed alias Ashraful, who was arrested by detectives on September 21, said the OC.
