Hearing continues

Three more prosecution witnesses gave their deposition before a Tangail court yesterday in the case for gang rape and murder of law student Rupa Khatun in a moving bus in Madhupur upazila on August 25.

The court also fixed today for recording deposition of the doctor, who conducted autopsy of Rupa's body, and five more witnesses in the case.

The witnesses, Liton Miah, Hazrat Ali and Rubel Miah gave their statements before the court of Abul Mansur Miah, acting judge of Women and Children Repression Prevention Tribunal in Tangail.

Of the three, Liton is son of one of the accused Safar Ali, supervisor of the passenger bus Chhoa Paribahan, said advocate Ataur Rahman Azad, Tangail unit general secretary of Bangladesh Manobadhikar Bastobayon Sangstha that is providing assistance to the state side in the case.
