Hannan Shah laid to rest in his ancestral land

BNP leader ASM Hannan Shah was buried at his family graveyard in Kapasia upazila in Gazipur today.

His first namaz-e-janaza was held at Rajbari around 9:00am followed by another at Kapasia Pilot High School ground around 11:00am, reports our local correspondent.

Hannan Shah, an army officer-turned politician, was laid to rest beside his father after the last namaz-e-janaza at Ghagutia High School ground around 3:30pm.

People from all walks of life alongside leaders, supporters and activists attended the namaz-e-janaza and offered prayer seeking eternal peace of the departed soul.

Hannan Shah, died at Raffles Heart Centre in Singapore on September 27 at the age of 77.

He was suffering from cardiac problems and on September 11, he was flown to Singapore for better treatment of his cardiovascular disease.
