Habiganj college boy murdered in campus

A fresher college student was murdered in broad daylight inside his campus in Habiganj today.

The deceased was identified as Suman Ahmed, 17, son of Mukhles Mia of Islampur village in Baniarchang upazila, said Nirmalendu Chakraborty, officer-in-charge (OC) of Baniarchang Police Station.

A group of criminals with sharp weapons entered the Shachindra Degree College and swooped on Suman around 12:00pm, the OC said.

They managed to flee the spot leaving Suman critically injured, our Moulvibazar correspondent reports quoting the police official.

Later, Suman’s classmates rescued him and sent to Habiganj Sadar Hospital where the doctors declared him dead.
