Habiganj boat capsize death toll rises to 7

The death toll from Habiganj boat capsize reached to seven as two more bodies were recovered from the Khowai river of the district yesterday.

Identity of the victims could not be confirmed as the bodies were decomposed beyond recognition, said Mozammel Haque, officer-in-charge of Baniachang Police Station.

On information, police recovered the bodies from Shahpur and Radhapur areas of the river, said the OC.

Earlier on Saturday, the body of a youth was recovered from Khowai in Habiganj Sadar.
