Law Minister Anisul Huq today said the government has undertaken a project for constructing 42 buildings for the chief judicial magistrates’ courts across the country at a cost of Tk 2,388 crore as a part of developing the quality of judiciary.

He assured the leaders of Comilla Bar Association that the seven-storey building of their bar association will be extended to nine-storey building and financial assistance will be given for purchasing relevant books including those on laws.

The law minister also said his ministry has taken steps for providing training to 540 lower court judges at Western Sidney University in Australia from February next year to June 2019 at a cost of Tk 40 crore for development of their skill and knowledge in discharging judicial functions.
