Govt files plea against RCC Mayor Bulbul

The government today filed a petition with the Supreme Court seeking freeze on the High Court order that stayed the suspension of Rajshahi City Corporation mayor Mosaddek Hossain Bulbul.

The chamber judge of the Appellate Division of the Supreme Court may hold hearing on the stay petition later in the day.

The High Court, last Monday, stayed the government order that suspended pro-BNP RCC Mayor Bulbul, who rejoined the office following the High Court order on Wednesday.

The government today filed the petition with the apex court challenging the High Court order of the stay.
