Four held for killing farmer

Police on Tuesday night arrested four people in connection with a case for killing a farmer in Kalihati upazila allegedly over a land dispute.

The arrestees are Ruhul Amin, 35, Mehedi Hasan, 22, Sorbesh Ali, 50, and Khokon Miah, 26, of Borotiabari village in the upazila.

According to the case statement, the arrestees along with others attacked one Musa Miah of the village on October 27 and beat him, his father Fazal Karim and uncle Solaiman Miah.

Later, Solaiman succumbed to his injuries while undergoing treatment at Tangail General Hospital on November 2.

Musa filed a case with Kalihati Police Station the same day accusing 13 people.
