Four drug addicts jailed

Police arrested four drug addicts from different villages in Nawabganj upazila of the district yesterday. The arrestees were later produced before a court led by Nawabganj Upazila Nirbahi Officer (UNO) Bazlur Rashid. The court sentenced them to six months' imprisonment for consuming hemp. The convicts are Mohidul Islam, 40, son of Abdul Kader, Zahangir Ali, 35, son of Sayeed Ali, Aynul Haque, 30, son of Abdul Aziz, and Ashek Ali, 25, son of Shahabuddin, of different villages in Hakimpur upazila.
