FM condemns ‘Mecca terror attack’

Foreign Minister Abul Hassan Mahmood Ali has strongly condemned the attempted terrorist attack by suicide bombers at the vicinity of the Grand Mosque in Mecca of Saudi Arabia.

The foreign minister, in a message to his Saudi counterpart yesterday, hailed the timely and successful action of the Saudi security forces in foiling the attacks.

He also reiterated Bangladesh’s solidarity with Saudi Arabia in its fight against terrorism and extremism, according to a press release of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

The minister reaffirmed Bangladesh’s commitment to stand by the government and the people of the Saudi Arabia to protect and secure the two holy Mosques.
