Female UP member beaten

A female union parishad member was beaten allegedly by her two neighbours yesterday over payment of electrician's bill at Gajandar village in Gouripur upazila.

The victim is Shamsunnahar Baby, 35, member of Gouripur Union Parishad (UP).

Neighbours Shaheen Mia, 33, and Nazim Uddin, 34, beat Baby with iron rods and sticks, said locals.
