Fake cops, dope gang members held in Dhaka

Police today claimed to have held 13 police impersonators and doping gang members from Dhaka.

Three of them, held last night from Wari, were Hafizur Rahman, Manir Hossain and Pikul Sheikh, said Nurul Islam, deputy commissioner of Wari division police.

They are a robbery gang who cheated people by impersonating detectives, the police official said in a press conference.

Meanwhile, seven other police impersonators including a teenage girl were detained from Pallabi area of the capital. They are said to be involved in abduction, police said.

Two fake pistols were seized from their possession.

The three others detained last night are said to be members of a gang who dopes people in order to snatch away their valuables.
