Former chairman of Power Development Board (PDB) Mohammad Khizir Khan has been killed at his Madhya Badda residence in Dhaka this evening.

Khan, 65, retired from the top post of PDB in 2007.
A group of six unidentified people killed Khan after tying up his family members, his relatives alleged.
The assailants, seeking house rent, entered the building around 7:45pm, they said.
He used to live on the second floor of the building and ran a Khanka Sharif on the first.
Khan had another branch of his Khanka Sharif in his village home Kushtia, they said.
