Ensure money, security in ATMs during Eid

Bangladesh Bank has directed all the commercial banks to ensure adequate money in their ATM booths and enough security during the Eid vacation.

The central bank also requested all the banks to make sure uninterrupted services so that clients can enjoy the facilities during the Eid vacation while using ATM booths, point of sale, e-payment gateway and mobile financing services, according to a circular issued today.

It also asked the authorities concerned to take initiatives so that the clients can enjoy POS facilities through their mobile services.

The commercial banks will have to ensure mobile financial services for their clients through helplines during the vacation, the circular added.

In a separate circular, the bank also asked the commercial banks to ensure their overall safety including cyber security.

The commercial banks’ officials have also been asked to remain vigilant through spontaneous monitoring in and outside of their banks.
